First-run setup (init)

One command to authenticate, scan, and install the hook in any repo.

Overview

ekmire init is the recommended first command to run in a new repository. It walks through three steps in sequence:

  1. Authenticate — opens the dashboard in your browser if not already logged in.
  2. Deep scan — recursively scans the current directory for existing issues and posts findings to the dashboard.
  3. Hook install — installs the git pre-commit hook so future commits are scanned automatically.
$ cd my-project
$ ekmire init

Running init again

ekmire init is idempotent. If you run it again in the same repository on the same day, it skips the telemetry post (to avoid duplicate events in the dashboard) and shows "Already posted today" with a link to your events. The hook is re-installed if it was modified or removed.
